Taking advantage of the good weather it is better to go out to train outdoors. But we must take into account a series of tips to take advantage of these outings and play sports. If it is too hot then you have to think carefully and leave it for another day or go out early (in the morning) or late in the day.
If the outdoors motivates us, then let's not deprive ourselves of it, but let's listen to the coaches and follow the advice so as not to lose heart during the summer.
Parks, gardens and shady areas
Parks and gardens in all areas, be they cities or towns, are a great attraction for training during the summer. Now, you have to choose those shady places, different routes, escape the crowds and go at hours where the sun does not press.
Sunscreen always
Even if we go for a run first thing in the morning, it is essential to apply sunscreen because the sun is already stinging and penetrates the skin very early. It is the best protection for our skin at all times and even if we are in shady areas.
Breathable garments
Now there are technical clothing throughout the year. It is especially important during the summer to wear breathable garments that retain sweat, allow ventilation, and are rather loose to be much more comfortable.
Cover the head
This area of the body is the one that usually suffers much more from high summer temperatures. Thus, among those tips for training outdoors, it is recommended to wear hats and caps to protect this area.
Progressive training
We cannot go out to train without a good previous base. So if we don't usually do a lot of exercises, we can start with short workouts to continue the next day and so on progressively. And it is not only valid in summer, we must continue with them in September and throughout the year, either outside or inside.
Supplied with Covid-19 kit
We know that to train outside you do not need a mask but we must go with our covid-19 kit for when we stop, walk and are walking because then we do have to put it on.
